Benjamin joined the WMC Accounting graduate talent pool in June 2019 after earning his Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law from Deakin University. He gained valuable work experience in supply chain and logistics during his studies, which gives him first-hand knowledge of the compliance activities that our clients need to undertake. He has commenced post-tertiary study and is on the way to becoming a qualified CPA.
As a member of Director Darren Slattery's team, and working under the direct supervision of senior accountant Jake Clark, Benjamin has been exposed to preparation of Financial Statements and Tax Returns for self-managed superannuation funds, companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals. His initial training focussed on the compliance of SMSF, which are highly regulated by the Australian Taxation Office. It is essential that the work that is produced for SMSF is completed in accordance with legislation, as such, Benjamin undertakes regular training so that he is able to stay ahead of change in this dynamic economic sector.
Benjamin is a long-time supporter of World Vision, and is actively involved with local sporting associations in his community.
