WMC Accounting is aiming to provide perpetual support to the community through fund raising initiatives and being actively involved in the social and economic needs of Geelong and the wider community.
Looking to the future, we will continue to be conscious members of our community who take pride in being respected for our efforts and involvement in all aspects of what it means to be socially responsible. As a firm, we will be committed to helping those less fortunate, or those who are in need of help pursuing their own goals and dreams.
OneCare Geelong reaches out to those in the community who are isolated or marginalised. They provide services such as low cost counselling, community meals and mentoring programs with the aim of strengthening individuals and communities.
OneCare recognises that Christmas can be a time of hardship and loneliness for many people in Geelong and beyond their weekly meals, a special Christmas lunch is served to the community. Numbers are high for this event and although we provide financial support to help with food purchases, we are more delighted with our team who gets involved to cook, serve and help with the clean up for this wonderful community event.

Every year, Landcare in the Upper Barwon area is involved in planting tens of thousands of trees, shrubs and grasses on private and public land, farms, reserves and stream banks to help combat a wide range of environmental problems and provide a wide range of benefits.
The simple act of fencing land and planting trees can help combat problems such as salinity, erosion and reduced water quality in streams and rivers. Planting trees helps to protect farm assets by providing wind breaks and shelter for stock, harbouring natural predators to combat crop pests and providing timber and other products like honey for household use and profit. At the same time, the environmental benefits for native birds and animals are manifold; increased shelter and food, greater biodiversity and important links of wildlife corridors.
For every tax return prepared for WMC Accounting clients on CD or E-mail, we will donate a tree to the Upper Barwon Landcare Network Tree Fund.
We are looking forward to making a contribution to a greener community.

WMC feels privileged to sponsor community initiatives that impact a healthier society. We are proud to support events such Relay for Life, Movember, Rail Trail Runs, BMX Racing to name a few.
We understand the importance of our people and our environment but we also empathise for those without a voice; our animals. Therefore, we also sponsor organisations aimed to relieve animals from poor conditions.
During the year, we extend our support to causes that are held close to the hearts of our staff and clients. We acknowledge the hardship, tragedy and sadness that is now prevalent in our world, our nation and our community. Whether great or small, let's help raise awareness and contribute to a hopeful outcome.
We were honoured to sponsor Claudio Pante and support the production of his autobiography ''Claudio Pante - A Life" aimed to inspire children and families who are impacted with Cerebral Palsy.
We have casual days where staff nominate a local charity or community group to support and raise funds through gold coin donations. WMC matches the contributions dollar for dollar.
In addition to actively supporting the needs of local community, WMC Accounting welcomes the opportunity to support charitable organisations beyond our region.
We proudly supported the Angkor Hospital Dinner Auction and commend the 'Make A Difference Team' at Express Promotions for promoting such a worthwhile cause, and for raising awareness about the urgent needs of Children in Cambodia. The 'End of Summer' Dinner Auction was a tremendous success with $15,000 being raised for the hospital. If you would like to learn more about the hospital, its origins, and the wonderful work they do please visit Angkor Hospital.
